About Me
Here is a little bit about me:
I'm in my 60s and have been divorced for many years. I have one daughter, and one precious two year old grandson. They mean everything in the world to me.
I don't have a day job: I was the live-in carer of both parents for many years; my dad passed away in July 2013, and my mum passed away in January 2021. These days you could describe me as: Mum, Grandma, Amateur Digital Scrapbooking Designer, Crocheter, Sci-Fi Fan, and Harry Potter Nut!
I have always loved creating art and craft, and have tried lots of different crafts over the years, including crochet, teddy-bear making, cross stitching, card making, and other paper crafts.
I started noticing beautiful digital layouts in scrapbooking magazines, which sparked my interest in digital scrapbooking. I tried some digital scrapbooking programs, but they were really glorified card making programs, and I quickly got frustrated with the amateurish results. Then I got Photoshop Elements, and started to learn how to use the program.
And then... I found this site, now known as DigitalScrapbook.com, and a whole new world opened up for me! The combination of quality digital supplies and tutorials was wonderful, but it’s the people who make this place so special. From Marisa & Jordan to the designers and all the other people who contribute to the running of this site, and to all the other members – I have never come across such a friendly, welcoming group of people.
I have been a member here since 2013, started designing for the blog trains in 2014, am a founding member of Scrap Twist Blog Train (which our group started after meeting in a design challenge at this very site, when DigitalScrapbook was known as Pixel Scrapper) -- and now, in July 2022, I have been accepted into the Commons, as the next step on my design journey!
I'm really looking forward to contributing more to DigitalScrapbook, and its lovely members!
(FYI: Photoshop Elements 15 is my most-used graphics program, but I also use
FotoSketcher and a variety of programs from Jixipix.)

Thank you both for your lovely comments :)
This is so cool. Great poem Robyn. Did I mention I hate spiders? They can turn a grown women into a babbling idiot. :D Just love this whole theme going on here. Great job and the poem is fantastic. You've definitely captured the spirits of spiders.
Love all your elements - really comes together.
