About Me
New to Digital Scrapbooking, just started in 2019, want to make a record of family stories before my mother passes away. My dad died in 2016. I currently live in Canada but was born and raised in New Zealand, and emigrated to Canada upon marrying my Canadian spouse. Home Country - lets see - New Zealand or Canada? Which to choose? Most of my photos will be from NZ, but any pics of my son will be from Canada. MY IP Address will say that I am in Canada which is fine. My mother and sister are still back in NZ so I will make my home country as NZ for now. For Facebook, I dont check it every day - I am not addicted to FB, and I use a different name for privacy. My image is myself as a child - aged about 2 or 3 years old

Moving to the Naples area of Italy now.
This is another region that I have always wanted to visit. There is so much history - especially from Pompeii and Herculaneum. So I started off with the Isle of Capri. I learnt a song 40 years ago - way back in high school that starts off like this - "Twas on the Isle of Capri where I found her...." I think Frank Sinatra sang a version of this as well, but the version I learned seems to have had different words. Oh well.
Capri has a BLUE grotto, but you have to go in a row boat and the queue can often take 1 hour to get in. When you do get in, you barely have 5 minutes to row around 1 circuit and then leave again. When the waves are rough, then the grotto cannot be accessed.
Despite the tourism (which of course has totally disappeared in the first half of 2020), the locals still make their living, fishing and making local crafts.
