About Me
New to Digital Scrapbooking, just started in 2019, want to make a record of family stories before my mother passes away. My dad died in 2016. I currently live in Canada but was born and raised in New Zealand, and emigrated to Canada upon marrying my Canadian spouse. Home Country - lets see - New Zealand or Canada? Which to choose? Most of my photos will be from NZ, but any pics of my son will be from Canada. MY IP Address will say that I am in Canada which is fine. My mother and sister are still back in NZ so I will make my home country as NZ for now. For Facebook, I dont check it every day - I am not addicted to FB, and I use a different name for privacy. My image is myself as a child - aged about 2 or 3 years old

Digital Scrapbook LayoutDescription
The Languedoc in southern France is one of my most favourite parts of France. While the Provence region is most famous for places like Cote d'Azur, Monaco, and Nice, and also for the name - The French Riviera, the Languedoc also has lot of history in cities like Nimes, Beziers, Carcassonne and Narbonne. The Languedoc also has many miles of sandy beaches and is now being called The Languedoc Riviera.
Nimes of course is famous for its Roman architecture such as the Pont Du Gard Aqueduct and the Roman Colosseum.
Sete is famous for sandy beaches, and the canal on which water sports and boat joustings are held during the summer. Sete is also called the French Venice.
Gruissan is further south on the Riviera and is famous for the Tour Barberousse (in English, Redbeard Tower). This tower was built as part of a castle in the 10th century to guard against invasions by corsairs and pirates. The castle was later dismantled by Cardinal Richelieu, probably during the French revolution, and the tower is all that remains.
I call this layout Languedoc 1, because I do intend to make a second layout about the Languedoc Riviera, There are tons more cities and beaches to cover. I won't be doing Carcassonne again since I have already made one layout about that city.
