About Me
New to Digital Scrapbooking, just started in 2019, want to make a record of family stories before my mother passes away. My dad died in 2016. I currently live in Canada but was born and raised in New Zealand, and emigrated to Canada upon marrying my Canadian spouse. Home Country - lets see - New Zealand or Canada? Which to choose? Most of my photos will be from NZ, but any pics of my son will be from Canada. MY IP Address will say that I am in Canada which is fine. My mother and sister are still back in NZ so I will make my home country as NZ for now. For Facebook, I dont check it every day - I am not addicted to FB, and I use a different name for privacy. My image is myself as a child - aged about 2 or 3 years old

Digital Scrapbook LayoutDescription
This is the Meadoway Green Space in Scarborough, which is part of the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), in Ontario, Canada.
20 years ago when I first arrived in Canada, this used to be called the Hydro Corridor. It runs from east to west across Northern Scarborough, parallel to both Finch Avenue and Steeles Avenue.
My husband and I lived, for the first 12 months of our marriage, less than 2 blocks from this corridor, before we were finally able to get an apartment in Downtown Toronto.
The Hydro means there are numerous tall electric pylons erected in rows across this corridor, each holding several high powered cables that carry electricity along the corridor and across the city.
And according the 2018 article where I found this photo, the city council has been working on beautifying the Corridor, and making it a "Green Space." They have also changed the name. Instead of the Corridor, it is now called "The Meadoway."

This is such an evocative layout. I really like the combination of that photo with the quote.
I like how you mixed all of the geometrics!
