About Me
I am a researcher for a non-fiction author & proud Auntie to three, two 13yo twin nephews & an 11yo niece, who live right around the corner from us in a tiny town in the hills of western Massachusetts. I’ve been married to Rick for 27 years & have known him for 42 years (we met my second week of college). I love gardening - veggies, herbs, & masses of perennials; sewing - clothes from vintage patterns for me, doll clothes for my vintage fashion dolls for my niece to play with; reading - especially science fiction, science fiction romance, romance, & all kinds of history, especially history of science; & working out when my bad knee lets me.
I’m a hybrid scrapper - I work so much on the computer that I need to get away from it now & then & work with my hands. I occasionally work on 12x12 albums but I'm mostly working in 8.5x11 now - it's cheaper to get the materials + they fit on my shelves!
For my 12x12 albums, I do all my journaling & captions on the computer & print them but everything else is done the old-fashioned paper way. For my 8.5x11 albums, I do everything on the computer (layout to journalling) then print it all out, cut it up, & glue it down. It's surprisingly satisfying!
