About Me
I am a free-lance researcher for non-fiction authors & a very proud Auntie to three, twin 18yo nephews & a 16yo niece, who live right around the corner from us in a tiny town in the hills of western Massachusetts. I’ve been married to Rick for 32 years & have known him for 47 years. We have four cats & (no exaggeration) thousands of books.
I started scrapping traditionally with 12x12 albums but am now a hybrid scrapper, working mostly in 8.5x11. I love the neatness of digital scrapping but I work so much on the computer that I need a break so the physicality of cutting things up & pasting them down is great!
I used to be an avid gardener & loved working out but caught covid in early March 2020 (before it was officially in my Massachusetts county) & am now dealing with long covid. Life has changed drastically since then & my abilities vary by the day.
Description
I'm playing catch up listing the books I read over the last year so I'm working on a new book journal scrapbook.
I forgot to note everything I used so the list of items is incomplete but here’s what I’ve managed to reconstruct:
December in the page title: Mari Koegelenberg Creations - Plan With Me: The Stamps
http://shop.thedigitalpress.co/Plan-with-Me-The-Stamps.html
The library card was part of Violet's quick page
https://www.digitalscrapbook.com/violet-irisovna/designs/check-it-out-booklist-quickpage-graphic-quick-page-books-reading-library
The book spot art & the bookworm word art are from Little Lamm Austen | Elements kit:
http://shop.thedigitalpress.co/Austen-Elements.html
I'm almost positive both pink papers are from here & the paint/mask on the reports card definitely is (but I can't remember which I used).
Fonts (all free)
Script font used for date on book list: http://www.dafont.com/manualito-flo.font
Typewriter font: http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/special-elite
San Serif font: http://www.dafont.com/keep-calm.font
•The below are used in every book journal layout•
Month name in the page title: Mari Koegelenberg Creations - Plan With Me: The Stamps

The bookworm word art & book spot art is from Little Lamm Austen | Elements kit (both recolored by me) http://shop.thedigitalpress.co/Austen-Elements.html
The booklist card is modified from ones at http://eighteen25.com/2011/05/library-cards/
The templates (which no longer resemble the originals)
The 4x6 card with the book covers is from Traci Reed (free); I squeezed a lot more photos onto the card than it originally called for!

The 8.5x11 page is my template but was based on a layout in TDP - Photo Storyboards (& I can’t find who this is or where it was from anywhere so if anyone knows, please let me know!)

PS My Dad (a history professor) always said that people who don't read just haven't found something they like yet so if you ever want suggestions, just ask. I worked in a bookstore for years & then in a library so I'm pretty good with recommendations!
Thank you so much, Emily & Federica!
Emily - I read more than I do almost anything else except maybe for breathing =D. I carry something to read with me everywhere (even my phone is loaded with books, both in Kindle & my preferred app, Bluefire reader) & have been known to pull out a book while stuck in traffic or waiting in line. Despite what my book journal shows, I read a lot of non-fiction as well, mostly news & science online so my book reading is my escape from the often ugly real world. I like my escape (movies & books) to have happy-ish endings with good people winning & if not living happily ever after then at least living happily for now - because real life isn't like that, as much as I'd like it to be. And I find it easier to deal with real life when I have a way to escape it whenever I need it!
I love this! I am in awe of all of the reading, and the tea with books looks very inviting! I've never been a huge reader, but I would love to get back into the rhythm of reading SOMETHING regularly!
Beautiful! Love it! :)
I love the pink chair, too - it looks so cozy, though I'm sorry to say it's a stock photo & not actually in my house! And thank you - I'm finally getting caught up with my book listings & having fun while doing it.
Me gusta ese sillón en color rosa :) es muy divertido tu proyecto Sarah !
