With assistance from KOA, we are able to do the second day of our tour. Heading first for Old Montreal, we visit Pointe-a-Calliere museum, located on the site of the first French settlement in 1642 called Ville-Marie. We can see the original fort walls and first cemetery. The Little River was soon bridged and then covered for drainage. The 1836 Custom House is on the site of ancient Indian trading grounds, where they traded furs with each other and the French. Other sights around town include the gate to Chinatown, a statue of Queen Victoria, and Resto House of Jazz. September 2, 2015

We saw the Notre Dame Cathedral our first day in Montreal but did not go inside.
Love Old Montreal... Did you have time to see the Notre Dame cathedral there?
