Like a gem in my jewelry box
I love to be creative with many different kinds of mediums, from the moment I was born. I love drawing, painting, sculpturing, cross stitching, sewing and much more. Photography is another passion of mine and I take this with me when I explore the richness of culture the world has to offer. Because I love to travel and made many photos along my journeys, I looked for a creative way to journal all the gained impressions and memories.
About ten years ago I started to fall in love with paper scrapping. I collected a lot of scrapbooking material and made quite a collection of pages. After a while I found myself having less and less time to spend on my hobbies and a few years ago I discovered the ease of use of digital scrapbooking. By making scrapbook pages on my computer, I can scrapbook whenever I have a spare moment, wherever I am.
I recently graduated from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and I've started my own product design agency called Studio Gekko.
I took these pictures from my cute, photogenic hamster named Cinta (which means love in Indonesian). In the pictures she is sitting in my jewelry box and the Dutch text therefore says: Like a gem in my jewelry box. The colors in the photos coordinate excellent with the colors used in the Bedouin Night kit of Marisa, therefore I made this layout as a submission for the Bedouin Night kit challenge. I actually displayed two pages combined, turning it into a spread. I have chosen to place it here as one image so the effect of the continuing layout is better visible.
The kit exists of so many wonderful items that I had to restrain myself in not placing too much stuff in it and making it too cluttered.
