Description
This is to demonstrate what happens when you don't save your file under alternating names. Adding the last bit - the title, I lost the layers and ended up with a flat not being able to add shadows.
This could have been quite a good one considering that I'm still a newbie, but now it's ruined. It's a bit like knitting, isn't it? Do you, too, find it hard to unravel a page if something like this happens to you? The only backup I had was the photo masked to position. Grrrr.

Happened to me, too.... aw well. Love how you are so analytic about your steps....
And thank you, Debbie!
Hi Kato,
my software does, too. But I also make sure I save after ever important step I take. And THAT was the problem. I saved something I shouldn't have saved. And I couldn't go back because I'd closed the file.
The photo was "recovered" from a shot from some 5 yards off of a whole group. It just so happens that we never get any time to ourselves, so this is simulating it!
I think its lovely
Definite progress !! Unfortunate you lost stuff and coulden't add shadow because it does make a big difference. It never happend to me as my software is set to backup every 5 minutes even when it crashes it opens with the last saved state. Great photo as well !
