Origin Stories: A Blog Link Up

I'm trying something a little new today. I was feeling a little uninspired in my blog writing, but luckily for me I don't write here in a vacuum and I thought it would be more fun to invite some of you to play along! And I know I'm not the only one looking for blogging inspiration, so I figured we could all help each other out.

Plus everyone likes a good origin story.

Captain Obvious

For you today I have an obvious realization. I often have these, and I like to share them anyway because I figure if I'm slow enough to take this long to figure it out, surely I'm not the only one (I console myself with this thinking at least).

I'm about 110% sure that most of you do this already, but I'm really quite thrilled with myself and I'm going to write about it anyway. Are you ready?

My Deep, Dark Secret

Like most people, I got my scrapbooking start in the real world with paper. And I went through a lot of paper. I made quite a few albums before I stumbled on digital scrapbooking. Having come quite far into this new version of the hobby, I've been harboring what I've considered a deep-dark secret: a somewhat extreme resentment of my paper albums.

Scrapbooking Guilt

To my daily surprise, I've become something of a scrapbooking expert, or at least, I get treated like one. I'm not sure how thorough my knowledge actually is, but there you go. Frankly, it's given me a whole new view of what an "expert" actually is. But that's not really the point of this post.
