Today is my birthday. It definitely feels like a weird time to have a birthday. It was weird enough to think about celebrating during a worldwide pandemic, but feels even stranger now with protests happening all over the US, having started in my hometown of Minneapolis.

But, since it is my birthday I thought I might use the occasion to beg a few minutes of your time and share my prayer for myself in my coming 36th year, which is simply to have the strength and the grace to change my mind on an ongoing basis.

The days get away from me, and I'm getting a bit late to be posting about August, but I will not be defeated by the date on the calendar! In an attempt to try and keep the days from getting away from me, I've been trying to get back into the discipline of taking a photo a day. It's really great to be able to look back and see a little review of the month in photos. So many of these moments would easily become forgotten, and it just takes a minute to snap a photo.

It seems like forever since we left Amman, Jordan, our home of two years; although it's really been just two months. But since leaving we visited lots of places and saw lots of old friends. We are finally now settling down into our new home in Corvallis, Oregon.

It's been a busy couple of months! Those of you who've been around a little while know that Jordan and I have been in the process of relocating for the last two months. We left Amman, Jordan (our home of two years) at the beginning of June and have been making our way across the States: Minnesota to Colorado and now finally to Oregon where we're planning to stay at least a year, if not forever...

It's been a busy couple of days. Most of this stuff isn't ours, but my in-laws are also in the process of moving, so there's a lot of chaos.
