Welcome Iona Esperanza

By Marisa Lerin Fri, 03/06/2020 - 11:00

Jordan and I are pleased to let you all know that our second child was born on February 20 here in San Miguel de Allende. Iona Esperanza came into the world even quicker than her older brother, which is saying something. Luckily we made it to the hospital in time, as did the doctors and everything went smoothly, if very fast. She's been here two weeks now and it's hard to remember a time when she wasn't a part of our family.

It's crazy to think that this year started out with us living in California and
Jordan still working on his Masters at the University of California Santa Cruz.

Welcome Magnus Joy

By Marisa Lerin Tue, 12/19/2017 - 00:00

When I scheduled this announcement of my maternity leave to publish on November 21, I had no idea that we would end up welcoming our baby to the world on the same day. Magnus Joy came a week early and honestly we barely made it to the hospital before he popped out, so you could say he caught us a little off guard! We are thankful the delivery went as smoothly as these things go and that he wasn't born on the side of the highway.

It's been a while since I shared my favorite photos from the month, so I thought I'd try to get back in the habit. Here are a few favorite moments from September:

Another month in the scrapbook! April was a pretty relaxed month, and hopefully I enjoyed it because things will be picking up a bit as we head into summer. Here are a few favorite photos from around home, and a quick trip down to San Francisco.

Playing a bit of catch up with my regular posts. I blame my new cutting machine for causing a lot of distraction from my regular routines. But we've made friends and I have a small idea of what I'm doing now, so I can get back to the regular schedule!

January 2016 in Pockets

By Marisa Lerin Fri, 03/11/2016 - 09:45

A new year, a new time for pockets! I haven't changed much from my routine last year, except to streamline my journaling process. I've decided, for now at least, to just include a little list of highlights from the week. I'm using these weekly cards and then scanning in a handwritten list. Simple enough, and I like have the personal touch of my handwriting included.

November 2015 in Pockets + More Pocket Templates

By Marisa Lerin Mon, 01/18/2016 - 00:00

I'm coming up on the end of the year for my pocket scrapping project, just December to catch up on! I'm looking forward to doing a little summary of my pocket scrapping experience from the year (spoiler: it was amazing!). If you have any questions about pocket scrapping in general or about my process, please leave a comment below.

I'm already looking forward to another year of pockets, and in preparation I've made another set of pocket templates, with even more squares!

December 2015 in Photos

It feels like it's been a busy couple of months. We were on the road from the middle of November, and are only just now back in Oregon and settling into "normal" routines. I find I have quite a lot of things on my to-do list (finish 2015 pocket pages!!) (design stuff!!) (2016 plans!!), but before I get too ahead of myself I wanted to share a few favorite photos from December. We were mostly in Memphis at my parent's, enjoying the sunny weather and eating Christmas cookies.
