The Pixel Scrapper Team

Meet the amazing Pixel Scrapper team! We don't have an application page right now, but if you're interested in joining us for any of the positions below, we post call outs in the forums from time to time: so your best bet is to keep an eye on things, and be active in the community!

Fearless Leaders

Marisa first started Pixel Scrapper as a hobby site in 2010. In 2012 she got Jordan to come on board as full-time webmaster and systems administrator!

  1. Hi There! I’m Marisa Lerin and you’ll see me around at Pixel Scrapper a lot. I started this site in 2010 soon after I discovered a new love in digital scrapbooking. Pixel Scrapper has gone through some significant changes since that time and it’s grown into this lovely community site you are seeing now. I am daily surprised by the turn of life’s events that has led me down this path. If you're new to the site, welcome! Here are a few tidbits about me that I hope will help you get to know me better!

I’m originally from Minnesota, USA, but spent a good chunk of my childhood living abroad (in Bolivia and Hong Kong). I returned to Minnesota to attend university, got married and then moved overseas again (Korea, then Jordan and 1 year of traveling). My designs are heavily influenced by these many nomadic years. I am currently back in the USA, now living in the great state of Oregon!

I have no official training for what I’m doing, since I decided very wisely (haha) to study physics in university. I am always learning new things about digital scrapbooking, and this community has been immensely helpful for that!

If I manage to stop digital scrapbooking you will probably find me watching TV, reading or baking. I also enjoy writing for the blog here at Pixel Scrapper where I talk about whatever happens to be catching my fancy at the moment.

  2. I'm married to Marisa Lerin. I don't do much digital scrapbooking myself, but I am passionate about creativity, visual design, technology, and the web. I also help to run this website!

Designers

Our designers are super talented and super tight: friends who met right here at Pixel Scrapper! Click on their profile pictures to see their designs and learn more about them.

  1. I came to digital scrapbooking by way of Project Life, which I did in physical form for the first year and then tried out doing digitally, and became hooked for life on digital documenting. I made my first designs to share as contributions for Pixel Scrapper blog trains, and am now thrilled to have joined up as a member of the Pixel Scrapper design team! I create products for digital pocket scrapbooking and traditional scrapbooking, and want to support people however I can in creatively and easefully documenting their lives.

You can follow along with my Project Life adventures (and find past blog train goodies and other freebies) at my blog, Scrumptiously: http://eversoscrumptiously.wordpress.com/

  2. Hey there,

I'm Janet. I was born and raised in Minnesota. In 2002 I met my dear hubby and in 2009, after a long wait we had our first baby girl, Annelyse. Then in February of 2012 we were surprised with the early birth of our youngest daughter, Sophia who was born three months premature. When I'm not taking care of my crazy, sweet, spunky, girls, I run my photography and design businesses. I must have ran across pixel scrapper early on when it was first started. I downloaded a few things but then got busy taking care of my first baby girl. Now I'm coming back and am very thankful for the resources that you provide. It's tough to find quality, free of charge, digital papers, templates, and assets that can be used for commercial purposes.

  3. I love to be creative with many different kinds of mediums, from the moment I was born. I love drawing, painting, sculpturing, cross stitching, sewing and much more. Photography is another passion of mine and I take this with me when I explore the richness of culture the world has to offer. Because I love to travel and made many photos along my journeys, I looked for a creative way to journal all the gained impressions and memories.

About ten years ago I started to fall in love with paper scrapping. I collected a lot of scrapbooking material and made quite a collection of pages. After a while I found myself having less and less time to spend on my hobbies and a few years ago I discovered the ease of use of digital scrapbooking. By making scrapbook pages on my computer, I can scrapbook whenever I have a spare moment, wherever I am.

I recently graduated from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and I've started my own product design agency called Studio Gekko.

  4. Wife and mother of two, a graphic- and webdesigner by day and scrapaddict by night!

  5. Hello!
I am Elif face behind Sahin Designs.I am a self-educated graphic designer who loves scrapbook and photography. My design history is fairly new yet I can't tell how much I love to learn new things each day. Pixel Scraper is my first place where I started designing, actually to be correct it is where I started scrapbooking! And I love this place, fellow designers and the PS community where everyone is so helpful and full of love!

  7. Hi, I’m Brooke Gazarek from Ohio, USA. I'm a graphic designer and I've also done some digital scrapbook designs here at Pixel Scrapper. I use multiple types of medium, to create fun and exciting results.

I am also wife to a wonderful, loving, and supportive husband and mom to two energetic boys.

  8. I am a dedicated stay at home mom to a most awesome husband and 4 amazing children. My husband and I have been married for 20 years, and my children are my everything. My most favorite thing in the world to do apart from family time is design. I've been into scrapbooking forever, but started the digi world of scrapbooking for about 5 years now, and started designing about 2 years ago. I also love reading to, playing with, and homeschooling my little ones. We are in the military, so we have also traveled a lot, but I am happy to be finally settled here in Alabama and retiring this year!

Our moderators are super friendly, super active community members who keep our forums running like a well-oiled machine! Now if only Jordan would help them out by implementing forum search...

  1. I love to scrap. I scrap in both digital and traditional. I got into scrapping about 14 years ago because I absolutely love photography and was working on my husbands and mine genealogy at the time. I am a self-professed "pin"aholic on Pinterest!!! I also have a Cricut & Wishblade and love using them for vinyl cutting and scrapping!

  2. I'm digital scrapbook designer. As an artistic soul I love creating beautiful designs allowing me to express myself. I share my passion for creation at Sunshine Inspired Designs. My adventure with digital scrapbooking started while my husband and I decided to travel indefinitely and traditional scrapbooking wasn't an option any more. I fell in love with it so much that I decided to create my own kits and share them with everyone who loves scrapbooking as much as I do.

I'm also passionate about animals and photography, so it only seemed natural to start photographing them! In addition to my work as a photographer, I hold a degree in Environmental Biology from Gdansk University, Poland. I’ve worked with many amazing animals throughout my years as an animal care giver, pet sitter, volunteer, and trainer.

  3. I collect pez dispensers and have 1500+

I love the mountains and being outside

I went to Africa for a whole day once

I have an awesome husband named Bill

I love to look at pictures, my own and everyone else's

I randomly open fridges - yep - everywhere I go - I don't even know why and most of the time I open it and close it and can't even tell you what was in there - maybe it is my subconscious making sure I will have food if I am stuck there for a few days - very strange - I don't get it

  4. I'm a graphic design/photography double major at a small art school. I use Photoshop CS3. I've been scrapping since 2004 when I worked for a traditional scrapbooking supply company. My job there was to make digital layouts using the products so they could be placed in the catalog to showcase how the products could be used...so I kinda got into digi-scrapping more than the traditional scrapping since I like that you can reuse things as much as you like and even resize and recolor as needed.

  5. Wearer of many hats :)

  6. I am a 28 years-old Brazilian, married for 5 years, and with no human kids for now, but 5 cats istead. I was a teacher, but I gave up on teaching, profession that I chose to young to know what I was doing, and I´m looking for other possibilities.

I have been scrapping and digiscrapping for a couple of years, but I still need to learn a lot. I also recently started designing for scrapbooking, which is hard, but I really like to do. I´m also in geek/nerdy culture, and I love literature!

  7. I enjoy digital scrapping. I actually do both digital and paper scrapping. Something I have been doing for years.
I enjoy researching my families past. Have made many contacts and connected with family members I did not even know existed. I have been compiling history, pictures and documents to date.
I am a designer, web designer, and a Professor at our local College.

    Happy scrapping.

Upload Helpers

These ladies are the super heroes of Pixel Scrapper! Since day one, we've had a dream of free daily download credits, and making all our designs available for individual download; well, these upload helpers are the ones who make that dream possible!

  2. I'm married to a wonderful man and we have two fur-babies. I have no children but I'm an aunt several times. I have made several digital gift albums and calendars, but my own albums are still paper scrapping since I have printed pictures from before I discovered digital. I am taking photography class to learn how to use my poor little-used DSLR.

  3. Hello! I am the mother of 2 very special autistic children, who are my world! I make digital scrap kits, and I really enjoy anything creative.

  4. Hi. My name is Tina and I'm a digi scrapping addict! I started paper scrapping back in 2002 when my youngest son was 2 years old. I discovered digi scrapbooking in 2006 and never looked back. I live in Florida with my DH and our 2 boys and lots of animals!

  5. Wife and mom to three cute kids. They are the stars of my scrapbooking layouts! I am also now a designer of digital scrapbook products. Day job - part-time loan officer for family, friends, and referrals from real estate agents. Love digi-scrapping & designing, card-making, reading, and playing with my kids in our awesome park-like backyard!

  6. just a single girl trying to do the best she can with what she's got. trying for ecstatic, will settle for content!!!

  7. I am twenty-something, married to the military, mamma to one, gluten-intolerant, and named after bread. I have a passion for art of all kinds, but find myself especially drawn to and moved by Impressionism/Post-Impressionism, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and Synthpop music. There is a scientist in me as well and I am drawn to Science Thrillers, turn-of-the-century science fiction, and Steampunk. I have a romantic lurking in the closet, too, and my guilty pleasures include steamy paranormal romance novels and corsets. :D

I think that this world should not be a black and white world ; therefore, I try to infuse as much colour into it as possible at every opportunity! I also believe that vampires should NEVER sparkle. I am an eternal skeptic, so I believe global warming doesn't exist. Despite my tend to question the world around me, I am a woman of deep faith ad spirituality. And I think that colour and favourite should ALWAYS be spelled with a "u" in them - even if it's "wrong".

Beyong my digiscrap blog, I keep a gallery of art at molicalynden.deviantart.com. I love working with coloured pencils and acrylic paint, but my passion and love in the art world belong to my Wacom tablet and Photoshop CS. I'm pretty new to digital scrapbooking (I don't know why it's taken me so long) but I have been mucking around with digital painting and sketching for a long time. :D

Favourite Quote: Stop being a little baby and get up. LIFE IS PAIN. Get used to it!
Personal Quote: Love, Peace, and Bulletproof Marshmallows!

  8. I live in the southern part of the USA with my husband and beautiful tri-color cat. I am retired from the Finance Department of a local school district. We don't have any kids but have MANY nieces and nephews! I have been digi-scrapping since 2004 and designing papers and elements since 2008. I also do a little digital Art Journaling.

  9. Retired in Dec 2011 and finally have time to get into digi-scrapping! First PSE classes taken in June so finally understood how to make a layout. Lots of hobbies: ceramics, crocheting, cross stitch, sewing (especially baby doll clothes for grand nieces) and want to learn to knit!

  10. Hi, I'm Mariah. I'm a full time Multimedia student and stay at home mom (my daughter just turned 2). I've always wanted to scrapbook but never thought I had the ability and had no real idea what I was doing or how. Now that my daughter is getting older I want to start putting a bunch of her adventures together. And I think this is the perfect way.

  11. I love photography and have an addiction to photoshop! I have extensive knowledge of photoshop and teach workshops from my home in both photography and photoshop editing.

I love sewing and crafting in general. Creating handmade gifts bring such joy to both myself and of course to the recipient. I often create my own props and costumes for my photo shoots.

We enjoy traveling to see the beauty in the world, and it gives us the opportunity to experience new cultures and people. My ultimate wish would be to visit every country on this glorious earth!
I'm thankful and grateful for all of the people in my life, and for the experiences I've had.

  12. I recently gained an interest in digital scrapbooking after making an online album for family. Years ago I toted all my scrapbooking supplies to crops and had a great time, but the albums never got completed :-) My goal is to make an album for each of my children before they have families of their own. Photography and hiking are my passions, but I branched out and completed my first 'rugged maniac' 5k two months ago with my daughter.

  13. I am a researcher for a non-fiction author & proud Auntie to three, two 10yo twin nephews & a 8yo niece, who live right around the corner from us in a tiny town in the hills of western Massachusetts. I’ve been married to Rick for 22 years & have known him for 37 years (we met my second week of college). I love gardening - veggies, herbs, & masses of perennials; sewing - clothes from vintage patterns for me, doll clothes for my vintage fashion dolls for my niece to play with; reading - especially science fiction, science fiction romance, romance, & all kinds of history, especially history of science; & working out when my bad knee lets me.

I’m a hybrid-but-mostly-paper scrapper. I work so much on the computer that I need to get away from it & work with my hands. I do all my journaling & captions on the computer (then printing them for my scrapbooks) but all my layouts on paper for 12x12 albums. I finally got a color printer again so I am thoroughly enjoying using all the lovely digi bits, especially brushes & png illustrations, to create stickers, spot art, & filler cards for my scrapbooks. Hybrid really is the best of both worlds! =D

  14. Mum to 5, 4 still at home! Primary school principal and still teaching as well. Just getting interested in digital scrapbooking. Love being creative with my photography so now I can add an extra dimension to it.
There is nothing I enjoy more in this world than my children, a coffee in the morning and a good book though.

  15. If it's creative I love it. I love digital scrapbooking and used to love the traditional scrapbooking but all those supplies are now sitting in my garage waiting to be shared with the grandchildren because I prefer digital! I used to use My Digital Studio exclusively but have recently started using Pages and other digital elements and soon will move over to Photoshop completely. I also paint, draw, do graphic design, weave, crochet and quilt.

  16. Did paper crafting for a few years (rubber stamping) and had some of my creations published, then I had to go back to work and didn't have time or space for glue to set, paint to dry, baking polymer clay so digiscrapping seemed to be the next step for me. I've been scrapping since 2011. I CT for Memory Scraps (mscraps), Scrapyrus Designs and Connie Prince! I'm also an uploader here at Pixel Scrapper (as of April 2015, I hope they keep me on! LOL!)

I don't think have a particular "style" as I like to give a lot of stuff a go, from clustering to C&S and artsy and photoless pages.

Designed a couple kits early 2015, hope to make a few more. I'm in awe of the blog trains here and it was really fun to participate in some!

On a more personal level: I'm from Québec Canada but live in Western Australia, and have done so since 1998. Hubby and I are parents to twin girls (fraternal twins, they don't look the same, but they are twins!) who are in their teens. I am not sure if I have more or less patience than I thought I did, it depends on the days!

I need to update my profile pic, too pixelly. :)

  17. I am a mom of two boys, and I am married. We live in Colorado.

  18. Happily married, Pastor's Wife, Former Homeschool Teacher, Proud Parent of two dynamic young people...one of each. Youngest is on a full tuition scholarship to 5 year undergrad and seminary degree @ Moody in Chicago, and one still in our area, but the plan is to have saved enough and gained experience to move on to her Masters in TX, hopefully continuing to work as an Admissions Counselor which she loves. I live a life complicated by Fibromyalgia. We have enjoyed the change in role of parenting, and still cherish any time we can visit with them.

Creative Team

  1. I'm the luckiest person in the world to be the mom to 2 daughters who were born in China. My husband of 23.5 years, and I adopted them when they were one. I am blessed to have a job that allows me to work from home so I can home school the girls. I used to do "traditional" scrapbooks, but once I found digital, I never looked back. I love the undo button.

  2. 2015: Mom to 4 awesome kiddos. Oldest is starting college in the fall, only son in middle school, youngest daughter and niece (who we raise) are both in kindergarten. My husband is super awesome and that makes up my perfect little family that I love so much. They are part of what makes digiscrap so fun for me. I love to decorate all my favorite photos. Love making mini paper albums as well. Photography is also a favorite hobby and I'm in the midst of a project 365, so I have lots of photos to scrap.

Aside from scrapping all my photos, I like to design too. It comes and goes as inspiration hits (and the busyness of life slows down). Pixelscrapper has been a huge resource of learning for me. Hope to keep learning as time goes on and scrapbooking evolves.

I pretty much live in the virtual world since I work from home doing both accounting and web design/management. It's great to work from home, but can get lonely without all those noisy co-workers. Happy to have found the PS community to help fill the void. :)

  3. Hi! I'm 43 years old and live in Minnesota, USA. I really love scrapbooking. I scrap both with paper and digitally and love them equally. I work as a Decorative Artist which basically is painting murals & other pieces on people's walls. It's a great creative outlet and I can set my own hours which is really nice! I just found this site, and fell in love with the community feeling of it (nevermind the great kits)!

  4. I'm a 55-year-old, wife of Freddy for 33 years, mother of two daughters, Lacy-25 (Shawn-27), and USMC LCpl Anne-22, Grammy to Kolten Cooper-5, Caddie-2, and Hunter-2mos, fur-mommy to Harley-1 our Chug (Chihuahua-Pug), MOTO-Marine Mom, KIA-driving, book-reading, music-collecting, computer-surfing, wine-drinking, photo-snappin', SCRAPBOOKING DIVA! Crazy!
I've just started "designing" some digi-scrap items, mainly for the PS Blog Trains. I'm thrilled that so many people give me such wonderful kudos for my pieces even though I will never compare to some of the amazing designers here. Scrapbooking is creative outlet and secret place of sanity. My major scrapping accomplishments include our Grandson Kolten's First Year Album (126 pages.....first grandchild, yeah I went overboard!). I just finished our granddaughter Caddie's ABC Album (since she didn't live with us, I was able to stay more realistic about this one). Memory albums for my Gram and my Dad. Honor albums for my Hubby and my Mom. I am now working, somewhat sporadically on my own All About Me Album, while continuing to create pages for our family annual album.
If you don't know enough about me by now, you never will............ Oh yeah, I tend to be sarcastic.........
My occupation doesn't even begin to describe what I do............SPED Para, MA Billing Specialist, AT Specialist, MTAS Administrator, SPED ECSE Clerk.

  5. I'm a freelance editor, writer and photographer. I picked up cardmaking as an art hobby more than 25 years ago. That led to scrapbooking, but really took off when digital scrapbooking software started popping up on the market. It dovetailed well with my career and has sparked an interest in developing skills as a graphic designer. You all are so talented; you inspire me! I live in the beautiful state of Montana where I work from home and volunteer for a local non-profit called the Dylan Steigers Concussion Project. Besides a passion for photography, I love sports, flyfishing, cardmaking, gardening, and walking my favorite beagle. My goal is to become better at making digital content rather than using what others have created so I can give back to this wonderful community of scrapbookers.

  6. I started using Photoshop in 2009 and quickly got discouraged because the program is so large and lots to learn. It didn't help that my mom was ill at the time so my attention was in deficit. Throughout the following years up until 2012, I would go in and play with it, off and on and learn some new things.

2012 comes along and throws all kinds of angst in my way. I lost my mom, the cat I rescued from the nursing home she was in, was diagnosed with large cell lymphoma. My world was thrown into turmoil. There was nothing I could do to get my mom back but I was determined not to lose the very young cat that was put into my path to ease my loss. He went through chemo treatments from March 2013 through September 2013 when he was given a clean bill of health and in remission. It is now April 2014 and my boy seems to be doing well with an upcoming ultrasound which will let me know how he is.

Needless to say, during this time of worrying about him and nursing him to eat and get through this, I had a whole lot of time on my hands to fill while waiting for a good outcome. I turned back to Photoshop to occupy my mind and voila, here I am today very much addicted to all Photoshop and Scrapbooking.

Thanks for reading and happy scrapping!!!

  7. Mom of two adult daughters and a teenage son. Full-time wife, mom, student , Program Specialist and crafter. Is there enough time in the day for all of that? Of course, it's all about priorities.

  8. www.pixelscrapper.com/tonje-gram/gallery

Hi.. my name is Tonje, 43 years old.. and I`ve been scrapping for about 10 years.
My style is mostly contemporary, clean, airy, but I've been dabbling with blending and are curious about Art Journal.
Too much 3D and fantasy style doesn't fit me. But I love trying out new things.. and often join challenges.

My native language is Norwegian and I live in.. Norway!
Yes, that tiny country in north.. with Fjords and all..
To compensate for being such a tiny country.. we've got high mountains..
but they doesn`t do much for me.. since I live by the coast..
In a tiny city called Sandefjord.. oh yeah it`s a Fjord here also.
We are about 2 hours, by car, south-west of the capital Oslo.

Please ignore my curly sentences (?) English is my second language.
The spellchecker brightens up my text with red lines..
    - but it doesn't help me with building sentences.

I just got myself a new PC, been saving for a year.. it`s awesome..
4 TB.. yes.. Terra Bytes.. Hard Disk.
Besides bragging about my new PC.. I love Sudoku, Photography (of course)..
I knit while watching films.. I read most genre except horror.. mostly I prefer Historical drama.
Oooh.. and 80% Dark Chocolate.. Addicted..
On my new shiny PC I`ve got tons of pictures taken in Peru,
and photos of our Garden (Hundreds of different flowers/plants/trees), our boat at sea..
+ family, friends, food, daytrips.. just to mention a few themes..
Got Photoshop CS3 and CS6 (but prefer CS3).

I have two sons.. but only one living at home (the oldest moved out..)
Felix, my youngest.. is so creative and often hangs over my back when I am scrapping
and comes with ideas and suggestions. You`ll see I make a scrapper out of him.
He is a bit socially awkward and has autism.. so we spend a lot of time together.. Just him and me.
Together we often go on trips and photograph.. we both have decent cameras
and it is a activity that doesn't require much social skills.
Lots of the pictures I scrap is taken by him..
and it makes him so proud to see pretty pages with his pics.

  9. Colour, light and texture... they make my world go 'round! Digital Production Manager by day, crazy mad scientist-like artist by night, not creating is like holding my breath! From old school scrapping and digital to sewing a dainty dress and repurposing an old man jacket into a hat, I'm always busy making, making making!

  10. I am a stay at home Mum to one little girl and a craft addict, I don't feel right if I don't get my crafting fix!I have always crafted in some form or another and tried my hand at all sort including glass painting, jewellery making, sewing, crochet, card making and scrapbooking. I discovered scrapbooking about 10 years ago and got hooked. After years of disregarding digital scrapping I had a sudden conversion in November 2013 and instantly became addicted. Now I can't believe I was so anti it before! As a full time Mum digital scrapping fits so much better into my life and budget at the moment but I will never give up all my lovely stash! I try to make digital layouts in the same style as I would paper ones and make then look as "real" as possible by only using elements which would work on a paper layout, adding shadows and using "glow" to recreate the inking I always add to my paper layouts! I look forward to exploring this new world and having fun here at PS.

At 18 months after I started on this digital adventure I am still loving it and have been accepted on to several Creative Teams, including here at PS! The next step is to try designing!

  11. I'm a photographer who made the jump (off the deep end!) into digi scrapping and couldn't be happier. Leaping before I look is apparently my M.O. and works for me, as evidenced by making a creative team within a month of joining Pixel Scrapper. (Home sweet home!)

I'm happily married to my redder half, who has finally accepted that my brood of hedgehogs follows me everywhere I go. (Hooray!) Our little balls of quilly love feature heavily in my layouts.

I went to college for Environmental Studies (hence my love of digi scrapping) and tend to have a lot of nature-inspired layouts.

I have fibromyalgia and it SUCKS! Scrapbooking is apparently good therapy for that.

I also have purple hair, some awesome tattoos, an industrial and a sad, lonely dermal anchor.

  12. I picked up scrapbooking back when I was in college as a way to showcase my meetings with political big wigs during campaign season, then my cousin had the first great grandchild of the family and I made a scrapbook for my grandmother. I was hooked! I spent all my extra money on scrapbook supplies and started scrapping my old pics with a vengeance.
For my wedding I made my own guestbook and scrapped gifts for my bridesmaids. I then scrapped 4 books for my family members of the wedding. It took me over 4 years (until I found out I was pregnant) to finish my wedding album.
After my son was born in 2012, I was determined not to fall behind again in scrapping so I picked up Digital scrapbooking. Now I create most of my LO's for my son's photobooks and a few layouts of my three fur babies or the occasional one starring my husband or me.
When I am not scrapping, I am chasing around my 2 year old, taking tons of pictures of him, and the occasional hike.
I have started an open Gallery over at http://shellbooking.com

  13. Hello, my name is Femke. I felt in love with digital scrapbook since 2005, when I "accidentally" discover a great site about it. I'm for 4 years now scrapbookdesigner and love to do it!

  14. I'm a stay at home mom of 2, a boy 14 yrs old and a girl that is 12 (going on 16)! You can probably find me scrapping, blogging, designing, reading ebooks and reading & watching design/scrapping tutorials! I admit I am a digi addict & I am on the pc way longer than I should be! Luckily the rest of my family is as well, we have just about every digital gadget known to man! I love being a part of Pixel Scrapper CT and am very happy I found Pixel Scrapper in the first place!

  15. 04/23/2015: time for an update. Retired for almost a year, I love to spend more time with my grandchildren now with 4 boys and 1 girl. Unfortunately we don't see the baby girl very often as they live a bit too far to make it convenient for regular visits. I stay updated via Facebook and most of the photos of her come from there so the quality is a bit undesirable. Still loving scrapping and hoping to rediscover my other hobby, stamping. Pixelscrapper is a great place to hang out!

  16. Greetings! I am from Chapel Hill, NC (USA) and have recently become completely addicted to anything and everything remotely associated with digital scrapbooking. I have no children of my own (unless you count the 2 furry creatures that share my house and beg for food), but I thoroughly spoil any tiny humans I can get my hands on. I have been tagging and designing web pages for tournaments in gaming leagues for several years, but I am relatively new to scrapbooking. I'm branching out and trying my hand at creating an entry for the blog train soon, so you'll be hearing a lot more from me in the future! One question....how do you STOP once you've started creating papers?...I mean, first day of designing and I look up from my creative coma to find that I've made 60!!!!

  17. I'm Melanie, 34, from right outside Boston, Ma. I will celebrate my 10 year wedding anniversary on Oct 15th of this year!! I have 2 girls Olivia, 12, and Layla, 9. We are die hard New England Patriot fans who don't pronounce our "R's" and use the word "wicked" as an adjective, so basically the stereotypical Bostonian. I'm a lover of all things crafty, obsessed with "The Walking Dead" and most anything horror related! Graphic design intrigues me and I've learned pretty much 3/4's of everything I know from Google. I am proud to say I've never owed an iPhone, I am a true Android snob. I have 3 large containers of paper scrapbooking products, yet I have never completed even 1 paper page. While googling for paper scrapbooking ideas I came across digital scrapping and never tried to make a paper page again ( to be fair I have used the paper scrapping stuff for other things).

  19. I am from Ukraine. I love digiscrap. I love Ps & PsP. I love pixelscrapper.com

  20. I love digital scrapbooking and am a member of several Creative Teams, including Pixel Scrapper. I am known in the digiworld as lawyerlyn.

  21. I am an artist and craftsperson working in digital and mixed media works. I live with my husband and three beagles in Nova Scotia, Canada.

  22. SAHM who loves to be crafty - from making hair bows, creating mixed media paintings for family to learning to sew to make whatever comes to mind. Digital Scrapbook Designer along with other misc paper scrapbook designs. Previously designed under 'Made by Me Inspirations' but have taken that name back for my paper scrapbooking and am now digi designing under 'Meg Scott Studio'. I am a Pinterest junkie and love DIY projects - just need to find the time to finish my personal 'Honey - Me - Do' list.

  23. My experience in the digital graphics industry began a few years ago (2007 or so – does that count?), when I purchased a DSLR camera (Nikon D70s), mostly to capture my growing family and children as they participated in sports. I found myself tweaking the photos and loving it! Then I discovered digital scrapbooking (where I was previously using paper), which progressed into digital design when I couldn't find items I wanted! I really enjoy learning new techniques and designing definitely keeps me on my toes!

IRL (in real life), I provide IT support. I have previously been an instructor and trainer as well. I do love computers and most things technical and am always up for a good, technical challenge!

I have been married to my loving husband for 10 years and we have 3 children – ages 10, 17 and 19. Our family has one cat (Kitty), one dog (Hank) and one rabbit (Reese).

  24. I am a not-so-newbie to digital scrapbooking, but was hooked as soon as I started playing around with kits, fonts, and photos. I started taking photos when my oldest turned one year old, then started scrapbooking about a year after that. I now have three spunky little kids (two boys and a sweet little Sparkleheart) that keep me busy, and when I'm not tending to them, I'm chilling with my feet up on my computer or watching some wonderful television programs with the husband!!

  25. I am a template designer and sell my range, Heartstrings Scrap Art, at the Digital Scrapbooking Studio.

I am a freelance graphic designer and mother of two kiddies. I juggle working from home and the kids. A challenge but I refuse to go back and work in an office! I started digi scrapping in 2013 and have loved scrapping all my pics that I have taken since meeting my husband in 2008. All my layouts feature pics of us for our photobooks. I love having a purpose with my scrapping.

  26. Once upon a time, in a country far far away lived a Girl with some serious PeterPanSyndrome - she refused to ever, ever grow up. Then one day, feeling numb and exhausted from cramming for Legal Studies exams, she discovered the enchanting arts of Digital Scrapbooking. Seduced instantly by the endless creative possibilities this new hobby provided, she scrapped happily ever after.

This is her shy attempt to share some of the quirky madness that resulted from adventures in the DigiLand hoping to connect with like minded fellow scrappers in search for new inspirations.

Community Members

Of course, the heart and soul of Pixel Scrapper is our community of caring, generous, creative individuals! Our emphasis at Pixel Scrapper is on helping people connect as real people. Each week we pick a random sampling of active members to feature on this page.

  1. (one canvas one soul)
J.ajabad is a nickname that I've had since high school and I have since used it as my artist/pen name. It has evolved over time but it's a play on my first and last name. The J. is my first initial.

I'm an artist and poet by well, can I call it a trade?! I maintain a blog that "draws" all the arts together and that has been condensed just this past year from a site and blog combo to just my blog.

I would say my scrapbooking style is hybrid since I still have my tradition scrapbook stash. I have made a few of my own paper backgrounds just by experimenting in my art journal and so far I have used a few of those in my pieces. Hopefully, I can make my own digi papers soon. I love paper and I always will.

I'm a history major who loves vintage items and loves how the study of history is essentially a time machine.

  2. Hi I'm Jeanet. I've scrapped for some years now - only digital even though once in a while I get a urge to try out hybrid but I've never acted on that urge - yet. I live in Denmark with my hubby and dog. I used to be a designer but found that I didn't work well under pressure while keeping up with my day job so now I just enjoy making freebies - and lots of layouts.

  3. random creator

  4. I am an elementary art teacher who has a love for digital scrapbooking, mixed media art and collecting of vintage ephemera. I enjoy creating artworks and digital scrap pages of my family mixing in ephemera, ribbons, buttons & stitching with the goal of creating a piece of art that shows a memory. I enjoy "happy" colors and like to mix vintage and modern elements. At home I have twin teens-Isaac and Bella along with four dogs and two cats. I also have a grown daughter who just this spring married a wonderful man and is a step mom to a sweet little girl. I love to grow flowers in my garden, read good mysteries & home design books, travel, and go antiquing. Decorating for holidays is also an important thing in our family! Often I use my digital designs to create items for just this purpose! Pinterest is one of my favorite things to do-can we say obsession! And finally God is a very important part of my life. I look forward to meeting other creative souls on here!

  5. I design landscape quilts, create my own pape dolls and work in mixed media. I have been designing scrapbook kits since September and love working and learning in photoshop. I have a blog which has lots of freebies which include scrapbook kits, paper dolls and vintage patterns.

  8. a SAHM who loves to scrap and take pictures, but mostly just chases Little Man all around the house!

  9. I have been around the digital scrapping world since it began! And I've been a web designer & developer since 1996. I was always an artist, drawing and even making my own paper dolls as a kid. I was also very obsessed with the Victorian era when I was a kid & still love all things 19th century. I also love history, genealogy, archaeology & photography.

Outside of scrapping I'm married to my wonderful DH for 17 years, have 4 living children & 2 baby boys who were born sleeping. We currently live in an antebellum home built circa 1830's ~ so we are often busy with restoration projects. I'm always finding buttons, china & pottery shards and other misc old artifacts which I plan on scanning/photographing and using in my scrap projects. I hope to share those too one day!

  12. I live in South Africa, my growing up language is not English. It is my paternal grandmother on my profile picture, taken at the wedding of my parents in 1960.
Been trying to do digital scrapbooking, but can't afford to buy a program. Been using CraftArtistCompact, GIMP and Paint.net, I have been struggling to get to understand the last two, as free software those are better, more options for brushes etc. Reality is that I can't even be classified as a beginner digital scrapbooker, I am still trying to understand how to use software.
Pixel Scrapper I have to say has the nicest digital pictures I have seen, doubt there is anything better than your site!
ps. As you can see I am even struggling to get the poor granny's head in the profile picture.
    :)

  18. I am a 30 something mother of 5. I love spending my time doing anything crafty. I am looking for a community that will help inspire me to scrapbook more often.

  19. I am the wife to an amazing husband after God's own heart who is currently completing his education to become a special education teacher. For now, I am one of the unit clerks for the busy neonatal intensive care unit at our local hospital, but once Nathan finishes school I'd love to cut back my hours there and spend some time at home starting our family. Together we are the Youth Pastors at a church called Church of God of Prophecy Madera where we are active in all kinds of ministries including: music, teaching Sunday school, conducting children's church, and even preaching on occasion.

I'm really excited to start a family and this year is full of preparing for a new addition. Truth is, having a baby is something my body is resisting. The doctors may say one thing, but God has promised us a child and we are believing and resting in that promise. So instead of being worried about what might or might not be, we are trusting in God to carry out His promise by finishing the house improvements and getting the nursery ready for our little miracle.

  21. I have been into Scrapbooking since 1992. It is my way of preserving memories for my family and friends ( I make albums for friends also). My occupation was floral designer and upon retiring I ask God to give me another way of using my design talents and Scrapbook designs was where he led me. I totally love it.

  22. i am SAHM. i love to scrap but find so little time to do it. =) When I discovered digiscrapping I had a week to finish my first project -- a farewell book for our pastor who was transferred to another place. I was able to cram & create a 10-page book using PS Elements. Now, I use CS5 because I found out most tutorials are done using this program.

I love to explore languages and their sense of meaning, I enjoy reading victorian or any historic book, love watching The Tudors and most historical dramas and have a black cat, Mawu. I used to be a musical student, so I can sing, dance and act aswell. I enjoy playing video games every once in a while and I am a sucker for makeup!

I'm an aspiring digital designer, as in digital scrapbook kits. I love to work freely with my inspiration and not be limited, and scrapbooking really gives me that sense. I have freebie post on the forum for you to check out aswell.

    Happy scrappin'!

  24. I've been digiscrapping now for about a year! Wow how time flies! I recently became a stay at home mom to my little boy, so he's the usual subject of all my layouts! I love pocket journalling, and I'm trying my hand out at designing.
