The Pixel Scrapper Team

Meet the amazing Pixel Scrapper team! We don't have an application page right now, but if you're interested in joining us for any of the positions below, we post call outs in the forums from time to time: so your best bet is to keep an eye on things, and be active in the community!

Fearless Leaders

Marisa first started Pixel Scrapper as a hobby site in 2010. In 2012 she got Jordan to come on board as full-time webmaster and systems administrator!

  1. Hi There! I’m Marisa Lerin and you’ll see me around at Pixel Scrapper a lot. I started this site in 2010 soon after I discovered a new love in digital scrapbooking. Pixel Scrapper has gone through some significant changes since that time and it’s grown into this lovely community site you are seeing now. I am daily surprised by the turn of life’s events that has led me down this path. If you're new to the site, welcome! Here are a few tidbits about me that I hope will help you get to know me better!

I’m originally from Minnesota, USA, but spent a good chunk of my childhood living abroad (in Bolivia and Hong Kong). I returned to Minnesota to attend university, got married and then moved overseas again (Korea, then Jordan and 1 year of traveling). My designs are heavily influenced by these many nomadic years. I am currently back in the USA, now living in the great state of Oregon!

I have no official training for what I’m doing, since I decided very wisely (haha) to study physics in university. I am always learning new things about digital scrapbooking, and this community has been immensely helpful for that!

If I manage to stop digital scrapbooking you will probably find me watching TV, reading or baking. I also enjoy writing for the blog here at Pixel Scrapper where I talk about whatever happens to be catching my fancy at the moment.

  2. I'm married to Marisa Lerin. I don't do much digital scrapbooking myself, but I am passionate about creativity, visual design, technology, and the web. I also help to run this website!

Designers

Our designers are super talented and super tight: friends who met right here at Pixel Scrapper! Click on their profile pictures to see their designs and learn more about them.

  1. I'm excited to tell you all I'm BACK! I'll be regularly designing new kits again - here at Pixel Scrapper!

Hi, I’m Brooke Gazarek from Ohio, USA. I'm a graphic designer and I also design here at Pixel Scrapper. I use multiple types of medium, to create fun and exciting results.

I am also wife to a wonderful, loving, and supportive husband and mom to two energetic boys.

  2. I came to digital scrapbooking by way of Project Life, which I did in physical form for the first year and then tried out doing digitally, and became hooked for life on digital documenting. I made my first designs to share as contributions for Pixel Scrapper blog trains, and am now thrilled to have joined up as a member of the Pixel Scrapper design team! I create products for digital pocket scrapbooking and traditional scrapbooking, and want to support people however I can in creatively and easefully documenting their lives.

You can follow along with my Project Life adventures (and find past blog train goodies and other freebies) at my blog, Scrumptiously: http://eversoscrumptiously.wordpress.com/

  3. Hey there,

I'm Janet. I was born and raised in Minnesota. My favorite title is mommy to two of the smartest, most beautiful, spunky, sweet girls out there. When I'm not taking care of the little peanuts, I run my photography and design businesses.

I stumbled across Pixel Scrapper early on when it was first started (before it became the site that it is today). Ironically, I ended up messaging Marisa to see if I could help contribute. I wanted to find a way to give back. Little did I realize that years later I would end up being fortunate enough to join this fab team! :)

  4. I love to be creative with many different kinds of mediums, from the moment I was born. I love drawing, painting, sculpturing, cross stitching, sewing and much more. Photography is another passion of mine and I take this with me when I explore the richness of culture the world has to offer. Because I love to travel and made many photos along my journeys, I looked for a creative way to journal all the gained impressions and memories.

About ten years ago I started to fall in love with paper scrapping. I collected a lot of scrapbooking material and made quite a collection of pages. After a while I found myself having less and less time to spend on my hobbies and a few years ago I discovered the ease of use of digital scrapbooking. By making scrapbook pages on my computer, I can scrapbook whenever I have a spare moment, wherever I am.

I recently graduated from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and I've started my own product design agency called Studio Gekko.

  5. Wife and mother of two, a graphic- and webdesigner by day and scrapaddict by night!

  6. Hello!
I am Elif face behind Sahin Designs.I am a self-educated graphic designer who loves scrapbook and photography. My design history is fairly new yet I can't tell how much I love to learn new things each day. Pixel Scraper is my first place where I started designing, actually to be correct it is where I started scrapbooking! And I love this place, fellow designers and the PS community where everyone is so helpful and full of love!

  8. I am a dedicated stay at home mom to a most awesome husband and 4 amazing children. My husband and I have been married for 20 years, and my children are my everything. My most favorite thing in the world to do apart from family time is design. I've been into scrapbooking forever, but started the digi world of scrapbooking for about 5 years now, and started designing about 2 years ago. I also love reading to, playing with, and homeschooling my little ones. We are in the military, so we have also traveled a lot, but I am happy to be finally settled here in Alabama and retiring this year!

Intern

Meet our amazing intern: Jordan's brother, Thani!

  1. Hi! I'm Jordan's youngest brother. I grew up in North Africa and the Middle East and have spent much of my life popping from place to place. I recently graduated (in May!) from a smallish university in western Tennessee where I studied a little bit of everything but primarily English literature and also performed in many plays. I just moved in with Jordan and Marisa and will be working on the support side of things. I like too many things, but some of my favorites are adventures and the simple pleasures of life, both enjoyed with people I love!

Moderators

Our moderators are super friendly, super active community members who keep our forums running like a well-oiled machine! Now if only Jordan would help them out by implementing forum search...

  1. I love to scrap. I scrap in both digital and traditional. I got into scrapping about 14 years ago because I absolutely love photography and was working on my husbands and mine genealogy at the time. I am a self-professed "pin"aholic on Pinterest!!!

  2. I'm digital scrapbook designer. As an artistic soul I love creating beautiful designs allowing me to express myself. I share my passion for creation at Sunshine Inspired Designs. My adventure with digital scrapbooking started while my husband and I decided to travel indefinitely and traditional scrapbooking wasn't an option any more. I fell in love with it so much that I decided to create my own kits and share them with everyone who loves scrapbooking as much as I do.

I'm also passionate about animals and photography, so it only seemed natural to start photographing them! In addition to my work as a photographer, I hold a degree in Environmental Biology from Gdansk University, Poland. I’ve worked with many amazing animals throughout my years as an animal care giver, pet sitter, volunteer, and trainer.

  3. I collect pez dispensers and have 1500+

I love the mountains and being outside

I went to Africa for a whole day once

I have an awesome husband named Bill

I love to look at pictures, my own and everyone else's

I randomly open fridges - yep - everywhere I go - I don't even know why and most of the time I open it and close it and can't even tell you what was in there - maybe it is my subconscious making sure I will have food if I am stuck there for a few days - very strange - I don't get it

  5. I am a thirty-something years-old Brazilian, married for almost a decade, and with no human kids for now, but 5 cats istead. I was a teacher, but I gave up on teaching, profession that I chose to young to know what I was doing, and I´m looking for other possibilities. Right now I´m sharing time between my own business and helping at a no-kill cat shelter.

I have been digiscrapping and designing for a couple of years, but I still need to learn a lot. I´m also in geek/nerdy culture, and I love literature!

  6. I enjoy digital scrapping. I actually do both digital and paper scrapping. Something I have been doing for years.
I enjoy researching my families past. Have made many contacts and connected with family members I did not even know existed. I have been compiling history, pictures and documents to date.
I am a designer, web designer, and a Professor at our local College.

    Happy scrapping.

  7. Wife and mother of two, a graphic- and webdesigner by day and scrapaddict by night!

  8. I've been collecting scrap freebies for a while, making layouts for my photography scrapbook and more recently a brand-new baby niece. I tend to be sort of seasonal with my interests, as photography in the cold aggravates fibromyalgia, and too much sunlight triggers lupus flareups--so I scrap a lot in summer and winter and enjoy spring and fall outdoors, often with a camera in hand.

A mini-biography: Born and raised in the upper Midwest, lived in both rural and urban areas, disabled at age 30, have been in eastern Tennessee for the last 5 years. Divorced, but engaged to a wonderful fiance in the UK. One kid, 21, now a Navy man. I might tell more as I'm comfortable, but that's all for now.

Upload Helpers

These ladies are the super heroes of Pixel Scrapper! Since day one, we've had a dream of free daily download credits, and making all our designs available for individual download; well, these upload helpers are the ones who make that dream possible!

  1. I'm digital scrapbook designer. As an artistic soul I love creating beautiful designs allowing me to express myself. I share my passion for creation at Sunshine Inspired Designs. 2. I'm married to a wonderful man and we have two fur-babies. I have no children but I'm an aunt several times. I have made several digital gift albums and calendars, but my own albums are still paper scrapping since I have printed pictures from before I discovered digital. I am taking photography class to learn how to use my poor little-used DSLR.

  3. Hello! My name is Nicole. I am 24 and married to a wonderful man. We have a beautiful 3 YO daughter who amazes us everyday. I am currently in school for accounting, I will have a certificate by 2015, and then I plan to go back for an associates and then bachelors degree in Business Administration.

I have done web/graphic design and created web pages since I was very young for personal/fun purposes. Only recently (August 2014) did I start digital scrapbooking, simply because the cost of paper scrapping is enormous! For someone who is on a very tight income, that hobby is one you cannot do much with. However, digital scrapping is something that if you mess up; no money is wasted.

As of September 2014 I started to share my own digital scrapbooking designs with communities. I feel it is only fair to give something back when others are so willing to release freebies. I am hoping to sell a small portion of designs in the future to feed this hobby.

  4. Hello! I am the mother of 2 very special autistic children, who are my world! I make digital scrap kits, and I really enjoy anything creative.

  5. Hi. My name is Tina and I'm a digi scrapping addict! I started paper scrapping back in 2002 when my youngest son was 2 years old. I discovered digi scrapbooking in 2006 and never looked back. I live in Florida with my DH and our 2 boys and lots of animals!

  6. Wife and mom to three cute kids. They are the stars of my scrapbooking layouts! I am also now a designer of digital scrapbook products. Day job - part-time loan officer for family, friends, and referrals from real estate agents. Love digi-scrapping & designing, card-making, reading, and playing with my kids in our awesome park-like backyard!

  7. just a single girl trying to do the best she can with what she's got. trying for ecstatic, will settle for content!!!

  8. I live in the southern part of the USA with my husband and beautiful tri-color cat. I am retired from the Finance Department of a local school district. We don't have any kids but have MANY nieces and nephews! I have been digi-scrapping since 2004 and designing papers and elements since 2008. I also do a little digital Art Journaling.

  9. Retired in Dec 2011 and finally have time to get into digi-scrapping! First PSE classes taken in June so finally understood how to make a layout. Lots of hobbies: ceramics, crocheting, cross stitch, sewing (especially baby doll clothes for grand nieces) and want to learn to knit!

  10. Hi, I'm Mariah. I'm a full time Multimedia student and stay at home mom (my daughter just turned 2). I've always wanted to scrapbook but never thought I had the ability and had no real idea what I was doing or how. Now that my daughter is getting older I want to start putting a bunch of her adventures together. And I think this is the perfect way.

  11. I love photography and have an addiction to photoshop! I have extensive knowledge of photoshop and teach workshops from my home in both photography and photoshop editing.

I love sewing and crafting in general. Creating handmade gifts bring such joy to both myself and of course to the recipient. I often create my own props and costumes for my photo shoots.

We enjoy traveling to see the beauty in the world, and it gives us the opportunity to experience new cultures and people. My ultimate wish would be to visit every country on this glorious earth!
I'm thankful and grateful for all of the people in my life, and for the experiences I've had.

  12. I am a researcher for a non-fiction author & proud Auntie to three, two 10yo twin nephews & a 8yo niece, who live right around the corner from us in a tiny town in the hills of western Massachusetts. I’ve been married to Rick for 22 years & have known him for 37 years (we met my second week of college). I love gardening - veggies, herbs, & masses of perennials; sewing - clothes from vintage patterns for me, doll clothes for my vintage fashion dolls for my niece to play with; reading - especially science fiction, science fiction romance, romance, & all kinds of history, especially history of science; & working out when my bad knee lets me.

I’m a hybrid-but-mostly-paper scrapper. I work so much on the computer that I need to get away from it & work with my hands. I do all my journaling & captions on the computer (then printing them for my scrapbooks) but all my layouts on paper for 12x12 albums. I finally got a color printer again so I am thoroughly enjoying using all the lovely digi bits, especially brushes & png illustrations, to create stickers, spot art, & filler cards for my scrapbooks. Hybrid really is the best of both worlds! =D

  13. Mum to 5, 4 still at home! Primary school principal and still teaching as well. Just getting interested in digital scrapbooking. Love being creative with my photography so now I can add an extra dimension to it.
There is nothing I enjoy more in this world than my children, a coffee in the morning and a good book though.

  14. Did paper crafting for a few years (rubber stamping) and had some of my creations published, then I had to go back to work and didn't have time or space for glue to set, paint to dry, baking polymer clay so digiscrapping seemed to be the next step for me. I've been scrapping since 2011. I CT for Memory Scraps (mscraps), Scrapyrus Designs and Connie Prince! I'm also an uploader here at Pixel Scrapper (as of April 2015, I hope they keep me on! LOL!)

I don't think have a particular "style" as I like to give a lot of stuff a go, from clustering to C&S and artsy and photoless pages.

Designed a couple kits early 2015, hope to make a few more. I'm in awe of the blog trains here and it was really fun to participate in some!

On a more personal level: I'm from Québec Canada but live in Western Australia, and have done so since 1998. Hubby and I are parents to twin girls (fraternal twins, they don't look the same, but they are twins!) who are in their teens. I am not sure if I have more or less patience than I thought I did, it depends on the days!

I need to update my profile pic, too pixelly. :)

  15. I am a mom of two boys, and I am married. We live in Colorado.

  16. I am a home-based business owner, making and selling wax melts, soap, and other bath and body products (company name is Creative Scentworks). I also do some digi-designing, and sell my work on Etsy and at MyMemories.

  17. I am stay-at-home mom to an amazing 7 year old. I design scrapbook templates and kits in my spare time. I love to read, swim, and spend time with my family. I also work part time from home for an invitation company doing graphic design.

  1. (one canvas one soul)
J.ajabad is a nickname that I've had since high school and I have since used it as my artist/pen name. It has evolved over time but it's a play on my first and last name. The J. is my first initial.

I'm an artist and poet by well, can I call it a trade?! I maintain a blog that "draws" all the arts together and that has been condensed just this past year from a site and blog combo to just my blog.

I would say my scrapbooking style is hybrid since I still have my tradition scrapbook stash. I have made a few of my own paper backgrounds just by experimenting in my art journal and so far I have used a few of those in my pieces. Hopefully, I can make my own digi papers soon. I love paper and I always will.

I'm a history major who loves vintage items and loves how the study of history is essentially a time machine.

  2. I'm the luckiest person in the world to be the mom to 2 daughters who were born in China. My husband of 23.5 years, and I adopted them when they were one. I am blessed to have a job that allows me to work from home so I can home school the girls. I used to do "traditional" scrapbooks, but once I found digital, I never looked back. I love the undo button.

  3. Hi! I'm 43 years old and live in Minnesota, USA. I really love scrapbooking. I scrap both with paper and digitally and love them equally. I work as a Decorative Artist which basically is painting murals & other pieces on people's walls. It's a great creative outlet and I can set my own hours which is really nice! I just found this site, and fell in love with the community feeling of it (nevermind the great kits)!

  4. I'm a sahm of two beautiful little girls. Love to digital scrapbook and design :) I use to run a site on Myspace called Baby Face Creations. Now I just use scrap-booking at a creative outlet.

  5. I'm a 55-year-old, wife of Freddy for 33 years, mother of two daughters, Lacy-25 (Shawn-27), and USMC LCpl Anne-22, Grammy to Kolten Cooper-5, Caddie-2, and Hunter-2mos, fur-mommy to Harley-1 our Chug (Chihuahua-Pug), MOTO-Marine Mom, KIA-driving, book-reading, music-collecting, computer-surfing, wine-drinking, photo-snappin', SCRAPBOOKING DIVA! Crazy!
I've just started "designing" some digi-scrap items, mainly for the PS Blog Trains. I'm thrilled that so many people give me such wonderful kudos for my pieces even though I will never compare to some of the amazing designers here. Scrapbooking is creative outlet and secret place of sanity. My major scrapping accomplishments include our Grandson Kolten's First Year Album (126 pages.....first grandchild, yeah I went overboard!). I just finished our granddaughter Caddie's ABC Album (since she didn't live with us, I was able to stay more realistic about this one). Memory albums for my Gram and my Dad. Honor albums for my Hubby and my Mom. I am now working, somewhat sporadically on my own All About Me Album, while continuing to create pages for our family annual album.
If you don't know enough about me by now, you never will............ Oh yeah, I tend to be sarcastic.........
My occupation doesn't even begin to describe what I do............SPED Para, MA Billing Specialist, AT Specialist, MTAS Administrator, SPED ECSE Clerk.

  6. I'm a freelance editor, writer and photographer. I picked up cardmaking as an art hobby more than 25 years ago. That led to scrapbooking, but really took off when digital scrapbooking software started popping up on the market. It dovetailed well with my career and has sparked an interest in developing skills as a graphic designer. You all are so talented; you inspire me! I live in the beautiful state of Montana where I work from home and volunteer for a local non-profit called the Dylan Steigers Concussion Project. Besides a passion for photography, I love sports, flyfishing, cardmaking, gardening, and walking my favorite beagle. My goal is to become better at making digital content rather than using what others have created so I can give back to this wonderful community of scrapbookers.

  7. I am a 30 something Christian, mother, wife, daughter, Art teacher, and I run an Etsy Shop that sells digital party printables.

  8. I started using Photoshop in 2009 and quickly got discouraged because the program is so large and lots to learn. It didn't help that my mom was ill at the time so my attention was in deficit. Throughout the following years up until 2012, I would go in and play with it, off and on and learn some new things.

2012 comes along and throws all kinds of angst in my way. I lost my mom, the cat I rescued from the nursing home she was in, was diagnosed with large cell lymphoma. My world was thrown into turmoil. There was nothing I could do to get my mom back but I was determined not to lose the very young cat that was put into my path to ease my loss. He went through chemo treatments from March 2013 through September 2013 when he was given a clean bill of health and in remission. It is now April 2014 and my boy seems to be doing well with an upcoming ultrasound which will let me know how he is.

Needless to say, during this time of worrying about him and nursing him to eat and get through this, I had a whole lot of time on my hands to fill while waiting for a good outcome. I turned back to Photoshop to occupy my mind and voila, here I am today very much addicted to all Photoshop and Scrapbooking.

Thanks for reading and happy scrapping!!!

  9. Mom of two adult daughters and a teenage son. Full-time wife, mom, student , Program Specialist and crafter. Is there enough time in the day for all of that? Of course, it's all about priorities.

  10. I'm a mother of a very active boy! I've been scrapbooking since he was born and started designing a little after that. I also work full time and scrapbooking is my main way of relaxing (besides reading).

  11. mother of 2 grown-up childeren; my hobbies are taking pictures, traveling, scrapping and reading. I work full-time as a Home Care Nurse, so I'm on the road a lot!

  12. www.pixelscrapper.com/tonje-gram/gallery

Hi.. my name is Tonje, 43 years old.. and I`ve been scrapping for about 10 years.
My style is mostly contemporary, clean, airy, but I've been dabbling with blending and are curious about Art Journal.
Too much 3D and fantasy style doesn't fit me. But I love trying out new things.. and often join challenges.

My native language is Norwegian and I live in.. Norway!
Yes, that tiny country in north.. with Fjords and all..
To compensate for being such a tiny country.. we've got high mountains..
but they doesn`t do much for me.. since I live by the coast..
In a tiny city called Sandefjord.. oh yeah it`s a Fjord here also.
We are about 2 hours, by car, south-west of the capital Oslo.

Please ignore my curly sentences (?) English is my second language.
The spellchecker brightens up my text with red lines..
    - but it doesn't help me with building sentences.

I just got myself a new PC, been saving for a year.. it`s awesome..
4 TB.. yes.. Terra Bytes.. Hard Disk.
Besides bragging about my new PC.. I love Sudoku, Photography (of course)..
I knit while watching films.. I read most genre except horror.. mostly I prefer Historical drama.
Oooh.. and 80% Dark Chocolate.. Addicted..
On my new shiny PC I`ve got tons of pictures taken in Peru,
and photos of our Garden (Hundreds of different flowers/plants/trees), our boat at sea..
+ family, friends, food, daytrips.. just to mention a few themes..
Got Photoshop CS3 and CS6 (but prefer CS3).

I have two sons.. but only one living at home (the oldest moved out..)
Felix, my youngest.. is so creative and often hangs over my back when I am scrapping
and comes with ideas and suggestions. You`ll see I make a scrapper out of him.
He is a bit socially awkward and has autism.. so we spend a lot of time together.. Just him and me.
Together we often go on trips and photograph.. we both have decent cameras
and it is a activity that doesn't require much social skills.
Lots of the pictures I scrap is taken by him..
and it makes him so proud to see pretty pages with his pics.

  13. Colour, light and texture... they make my world go 'round! Digital Production Manager by day, crazy mad scientist-like artist by night, not creating is like holding my breath! From old school scrapping and digital to sewing a dainty dress and repurposing an old man jacket into a hat, I'm always busy making, making making!

  14. I am a stay at home Mum to one little girl and a craft addict, I don't feel right if I don't get my crafting fix!I have always crafted in some form or another and tried my hand at all sort including glass painting, jewellery making, sewing, crochet, card making and scrapbooking. I discovered scrapbooking about 10 years ago and got hooked. After years of disregarding digital scrapping I had a sudden conversion in November 2013 and instantly became addicted. Now I can't believe I was so anti it before! As a full time Mum digital scrapping fits so much better into my life and budget at the moment but I will never give up all my lovely stash! I try to make digital layouts in the same style as I would paper ones and make then look as "real" as possible by only using elements which would work on a paper layout, adding shadows and using "glow" to recreate the inking I always add to my paper layouts! I look forward to exploring this new world and having fun here at PS.

At 18 months after I started on this digital adventure I am still loving it and have been accepted on to several Creative Teams, including here at PS! The next step is to try designing!

  15. Married 14 yrs to great guy, Mom to 3 wonderful kids (26, 25, 20) & 3 kitties. Love all things Disney, digital scrapbooking, wine, travel, movies and photography. I would someday like to be a full time designer, but for now I am a Marketing Director (it pays the bills). Maybe when I retire. I use Photoshop almost exclusively, but also use Storybook Creator 4.0 and Lightroom. I live close enough to Disneyland to go a few times a year.

  16. A SAHM, Homeschool teacher with a passion to craft anything and everything! Live on the Eastern Shore of MD with my pastor husband, two children, and two fur babies!

  17. I love digital scapbooking, creating blog backgrounds (very similar, I think...) and am now trying my hand at designing for others. I also design rubber stamps. I'm a bookbinder, journaller, love mixed media, and teach rubber stamping, card making etc at a venue in London. I also blog.

  18. I picked up scrapbooking back when I was in college as a way to showcase my meetings with political big wigs during campaign season, then my cousin had the first great grandchild of the family and I made a scrapbook for my grandmother. I was hooked! I spent all my extra money on scrapbook supplies and started scrapping my old pics with a vengeance.
For my wedding I made my own guestbook and scrapped gifts for my bridesmaids. I then scrapped 4 books for my family members of the wedding. It took me over 4 years (until I found out I was pregnant) to finish my wedding album.
After my son was born in 2012, I was determined not to fall behind again in scrapping so I picked up Digital scrapbooking. Now I create most of my LO's for my son's photobooks and a few layouts of my three fur babies or the occasional one starring my husband or me.
When I am not scrapping, I am chasing around my 2 year old, taking tons of pictures of him, and the occasional hike.
I have started an open Gallery over at http://shellbooking.com

  19. Hello, my name is Femke. I felt in love with digital scrapbook since 2005, when I "accidentally" discover a great site about it. I'm for 4 years now scrapbookdesigner and love to do it!

  20. I'm a stay at home mom of 2, a boy 15 yrs old and a girl that is 13 (going on 21)! You can probably find me scrapping, blogging, designing, reading ebooks & watching design/scrapping tutorials! I admit I am a digi addict & I am on the pc way longer than I should be! Luckily the rest of my family is as well, we have just about every digital gadget known to man! I love being a part of Pixel Scrapper and am very happy I found Pixel Scrapper in the first place!

  21. 04/23/2015: time for an update. Retired for almost a year, I love to spend more time with my grandchildren now with 4 boys and 1 girl. Unfortunately we don't see the baby girl very often as they live a bit too far to make it convenient for regular visits. I stay updated via Facebook and most of the photos of her come from there so the quality is a bit undesirable. Still loving scrapping and hoping to rediscover my other hobby, stamping. Pixelscrapper is a great place to hang out!

  22. Greetings! I am from Chapel Hill, NC (USA) and have recently become completely addicted to anything and everything remotely associated with digital scrapbooking. I have no children of my own (unless you count the 2 furry creatures that share my house and beg for food), but I thoroughly spoil any tiny humans I can get my hands on. I have been tagging and designing web pages for tournaments in gaming leagues for several years, but I am relatively new to scrapbooking. I'm branching out and trying my hand at creating an entry for the blog train soon, so you'll be hearing a lot more from me in the future! One question....how do you STOP once you've started creating papers?...I mean, first day of designing and I look up from my creative coma to find that I've made 60!!!!

  23. I'm Melanie, 35, from right outside Boston, Ma. I have 2 girls Olivia, 13, and Layla, 10. We are die hard New England Patriot fans who don't pronounce our "R's" and use the word "wicked" as an adjective, so basically the stereotypical Bostonian. I'm a lover of all things crafty, obsessed with "The Walking Dead" and most anything horror related! Graphic design intrigues me and I've learned pretty much 3/4's of everything I know from Google. I am proud to say I've never owed an iPhone, I am a true Android snob. I have 3 large containers of paper scrapbooking products, yet I have never completed even 1 paper page. While googling for paper scrapbooking ideas I came across digital scrapping and never tried to make a paper page again ( to be fair I have used the paper scrapping stuff for other things).

  24. - A bit about myself - I'm educated Chef - married to the most handsome Korean- 1 daughter at 17 - owned by 2 cats -
I love my job and in my sparetime I love to cook and bake too - I love cakes n cookies - anything cake related -
I discovered digi scrapping many years ago and it still has my heart
I love making layouts from simplicity to artzy pages

  26. I am from Ukraine. I love digiscrap. I love Ps & PsP. I love pixelscrapper.com

  27. I love digital scrapbooking and am a member of several Creative Teams, including Marisa Lerin's. I am known in the digiworld as lawyerlyn.

  28. I am an artist and craftsperson working in digital and mixed media works. I live with my husband and three beagles in Nova Scotia, Canada.

  29. I'm brazillian, and love scrapbook

  30. Hiya! I'm Amy, a young girl from the Netherlands. I am a catholic, and I have been since a long time. I enjoy scrapbooking, because it keeps memories alive. I love to explore languages and their sense of meaning, I enjoy reading victorian or any historic book, love watching The Tudors and most historical dramas and have a black cat, Mawu. I used to be a musical student, so I can sing, dance and act aswell. I enjoy playing video games every once in a while and I am a sucker for makeup!

I'm an aspiring digital designer, as in digital scrapbook kits. I love to work freely with my inspiration and not be limited, and scrapbooking really gives me that sense. I have freebie post on the forum for you to check out aswell.

    Happy scrappin'!

  31. SAHM who loves to be crafty - from making hair bows, creating mixed media paintings for family to learning to sew to make whatever comes to mind. Digital Scrapbook Designer along with other misc paper scrapbook designs. Previously designed under 'Made by Me Inspirations' but have taken that name back for my paper scrapbooking and am now digi designing under 'Meg Scott Studio'. I am a Pinterest junkie and love DIY projects - just need to find the time to finish my personal 'Honey - Me - Do' list.

  32. My experience in the digital graphics industry began a few years ago (2007 or so – does that count?), when I purchased a DSLR camera (Nikon D70s), mostly to capture my growing family and children as they participated in sports. I found myself tweaking the photos and loving it! Then I discovered digital scrapbooking (where I was previously using paper), which progressed into digital design when I couldn't find items I wanted! I really enjoy learning new techniques and designing definitely keeps me on my toes!

IRL (in real life), I provide IT support. I have previously been an instructor and trainer as well. I do love computers and most things technical and am always up for a good, technical challenge!

I have been married to my loving husband for 10 years and we have 3 children – ages 10, 17 and 19. Our family has one cat (Kitty), one dog (Hank) and one rabbit (Reese).

  33. I am a not-so-newbie to digital scrapbooking, but was hooked as soon as I started playing around with kits, fonts, and photos. I started taking photos when my oldest turned one year old, then started scrapbooking about a year after that. I now have three spunky little kids (two boys and a sweet little Sparkleheart) that keep me busy, and when I'm not tending to them, I'm chilling with my feet up on my computer or watching some wonderful television programs with the husband!!

  34. My name is Kayl, pronounced like the leafy green kale - not like Kyle. I'm an American-born lady living in Sweden with my Swede husband Fredrik. We are currently trying to expand our family by adding a tiny human! We've come close twice, but unfortunately, I couldn't maintain either pregnancy.

I am brand new to digiscrapping, I found a random website by accident not long ago and was shocked that anything like this existed! I had a step mother who physically scrapbooked but I wasnt all that interested back then.

I've always been the smarty pants who never studied or picked up a book yet still aced every test. Creativity was NEVER a strong point of mine and I imagine it will take a long time before I produce anything share-worthy here!

As I fumble my way through learning photoshop and finding where my toolbars keep disappearing to, I hope to learn anything and everything I can about being creative from people who were once in my position!

Also, I overuse the exclamation point! ♥

  35. I am a template designer and sell my range, Heartstrings Scrap Art, at the Digital Scrapbooking Studio.

I am a freelance graphic designer and mother of two kiddies. I juggle working from home and the kids. A challenge but I refuse to go back and work in an office! I started digi scrapping in 2013 and have loved scrapping all my pics that I have taken since meeting my husband in 2008. All my layouts feature pics of us for our photobooks. I love having a purpose with my scrapping.

  36. Avid digiscrapper for several years; mother of 2, grandmother of 4. Also love to cook and read. Live in Georgia

  37. I'm a happily married Mother of two girls. I am a Kiwi but moved to Australia in 2009. My friends like to call me a "Kwaussie"!

  38. Once upon a time, in a country far far away lived a Girl with some serious PeterPanSyndrome - she refused to ever, ever grow up. Then one day, feeling numb and exhausted from cramming for Legal Studies exams, she discovered the enchanting arts of Digital Scrapbooking. Seduced instantly by the endless creative possibilities this new hobby provided, she scrapped happily ever after.

This is her shy attempt to share some of the quirky madness that resulted from adventures in the DigiLand hoping to connect with like minded fellow scrappers in search for new inspirations.

  39. Im a mother of four, who loves crafting to the extreme, i have gone almost full digital with four kids i found it to hard to scrap every photo i took, and even harder to not scrap every photo i took and after being five years behind i joined the project life bandwagon and never looked back, i scrapped all of this years photos in a month! but i will still always have a love for mini albums. well that and what else am i going to do with all this paper! lol. i jsut got photoshop for christmas and ive been addicted to it ever since. i might even take on the huge task of redoing my sons baby albums. old tape has worn off and everything is jsut sitting in the pocket protectors at the bottom. plus that was before digital and i have no copies of any of those photos!

  1. Hi! I am married, no children. Worked full time as a system administrator for a large university and was fortunate to retire in January 2016. Exceptionally fortunate since I developed severe fibromyalgia a few years before retirement. I love making elements! Either from extractions or from commercial templates or from templates of my own design. And the best pain relief from my fibro symptoms. I have some *personal use* freebs in the Pixel Scrapper forums and would love for you to check them out and tell me how they work for you, what you would like to see improved and what kind of kit you wish someone would make that you have always wanted and I will try to make it for you.

  2. I live out in the country, surrounded by woods, at the end of a 1/2 mile driveway; I love to garden (flowers!); my husband and I have 11 grandchildren (six of them are two years of age or under!); I love to take pictures; and so I'm never finished making scrapbook pages! I have always been an avid reader, and I do look to write, as well. I am also extremely interested in my family history, and have become rather addicted to genealogy research. I have completed over 130 digital scrapbook pages for a family heritage album; it is my goal to complete that book in 2014.

I am totally excited about the philosophy and encouragement which I'm finding here at Pixel Scrapper!!

  3. I'm a former 1st grade teacher -turned- Product Designer of Digital Scrapbooking Kits!
I am also a stay-at-home Mom of two boys who keep me very busy!! You can find my kits at MagsGraphics and at the MyMemories family of stores!

  4. I’m a 50-something divorced mother of one daughter, and we both live with my mum - I am my mum's carer, and was also my dad's until he passed away in July 2013. I’ve always loved arts and crafts, and have tried lots of different crafts over the years, including crochet, teddy-bear making, cross stitching, card making, and other paper crafts.

I have quite a substantial stash of beautiful paper, card and other bits and pieces - I was keen to try scrapbooking, but could never bear to cut into any of my pretty paper. I was only able to do the card making if I bought two pieces of paper the same – one to use, and one to keep (admire, stroke… you get the picture!)

As with all my hobbies, I started to buy scrapbooking magazines (ok, yes, I am a craft magazine-aholic!) Anyway, I started to see all these beautiful digital layouts – so that got me interested in digital scrapbooking. So, like many others, I started to download. And download. And download – but I still wasn’t brave enough to try scrapping! I tried some digital scrapbooking programs, but they were really glorified card making programs, and I quickly got frustrated with the amateurish results. Then I got PSE 11, and started to learn how to use the program……

And then I found Pixel Scrapper, and a whole new world opened up for me! The combination of quality digital supplies and tutorials was wonderful, but it’s the people who make this place so special. From Marisa & Jordan to the designers and all the other people who contribute to the running of this site, and to all the other members – I have never come across such a friendly, welcoming group of people. And now I’m so addicted that I can’t go a day without logging on and having a look at the beautiful things everybody is creating, downloading something, or chatting on the forums (would you believe I had never even read a forum before I came here, let alone posted anything!)

I only started digital scrapbooking at the beginning of 2014, and although I haven’t done very many layouts (I’ve been concentrating mainly on trying to organise my digital stash!), I have started in a very limited way to design papers to offer as freebies to other members, and even participated in my very first blog train (Autumn Art in October 2014).

So, as you can see, I am gradually building my skills with PSE, and really enjoying my participation in this site.

PIXEL SCRAPPER FOR EVER! (Can you tell I’m just a wee bit obsessed!)

  5. Just a regular mom doing regular mom stuff! I love my kids, my husband and my home. We run, bike, swim, work and play together. It's my favorite!

  6. I have been around the digital scrapping world since it began! And I've been a web designer & developer since 1996. I was always an artist, drawing and even making my own paper dolls as a kid. I was also very obsessed with the Victorian era when I was a kid & still love all things 19th century. I also love history, genealogy, archaeology & photography.

Outside of scrapping I'm married to my wonderful DH for 17 years, have 4 living children & 2 baby boys who were born sleeping. We currently live in an antebellum home built circa 1830's ~ so we are often busy with restoration projects. I'm always finding buttons, china & pottery shards and other misc old artifacts which I plan on scanning/photographing and using in my scrap projects. I hope to share those too one day!

  7. I am an English teacher who writes novels in her spare time. I love photography and scrapbooks. My three kids and husband provide lots of memories to scrapbook.

  8. Hi, I've been scrapbooking for a while when it was all manual and there was a lot of hunting around for scraps. Now I'm 'retired' and have gone digital and love it. Live in Florida but originally from New England and summer time brings me back to some great times and memories which I'm trying to capture in my albums. Have created 2 albums vintage relatives going back to 1890 and working on 3rd coming into present time.
Not sure how to use all of this on pixelscrapper but willing to learn. Best way to spend Florida hot summer days!

  9. I am a stay at home to 4 lovely, crazy kids! I love the Big Bang theory, and chocolate brownies, going outside for a wander, sleeping, and of course scrapping!

  10. I am a designer that started in 2002, took a break for 2 years and now I am back. I just love to create in my Photoshop...what else can I say?

  11. I have been married for 21 years have two beautiful children and love to scrapbook. Digital scrapbooking is still pretty new to me, but I like it! I have been teaching myself with the help of the internet.

  12. I'm a single mom, Cancer survivor and I work with children enrolled in Special Education. I also have cerebral palsy and a friend introduced me to digital scrapbooking about 5 years ago and I absolutely love it. I make photo books and calendars for Christmas, Birthdays and Graduations gifts. One of my favorite projects was collecting my grandmother's hand written recipes uploading them to a jpeg file and creating cookbooks for my aunts, sisters and cousins in my grandmothers writing. I am also a history buff and I am currently working on the family tree while preserving our history in a photo book.

  13. I live in Australia and love to try my hand at digital scrapbooking, I use psp and PS just learning PS though and loving it.

  14. I left the big city to enjoy the quieter things in life. I love creating things with my hands from crafting to cooking, baking, even gardening! I like genuine connections. I travel. I take pictures. I tell kick-ass bedtime stories. :)

  15. I am a mother of twelve and grandmother of seventeen. I got into digital scrapbooking in 2005 and started designing not long after that. I am presently on a hiatus from designing but am enjoying creating pocket life cards and clusters and such at Plain Digital Wrapper. I love all things scrapbooking and am planning my dream scrapbook room for the near future. I ride a Honda Shadow motorcycle when I am not scrapbooking.

  16. I am the mother of 3... 2 girls (16 and 12) and 1 boy (just turned 6). I have been married for 19 years and live in Minnesota. I am currently working full time in the education industry as a business intelligence developer. I have a degree in graphic communication and also just completed my Associates Degree in .NET programming.
I have been scrapbooking since 2002 and have only begun digital scrapping in 2013. My paper scrapbooks were getting to thick so I decided to switch to digital. I am so grateful that I ran across pixel scrapper, you all have been such a great inspiration to me and I've also learned so much through tutorials.

  17. I have been into Scrapbooking since 1992. It is my way of preserving memories for my family and friends ( I make albums for friends also). My occupation was floral designer and upon retiring I ask God to give me another way of using my design talents and Scrapbook designs was where he led me. I totally love it.

  18. i am SAHM. i love to scrap but find so little time to do it. =) When I discovered digiscrapping I had a week to finish my first project -- a farewell book for our pastor who was transferred to another place. I was able to cram & create a 10-page book using PS Elements. Now, I use CS5 because I found out most tutorials are done using this program.

  19. I've lived in Washington state since I was 12, and lets just say that was a LONG time ago! Wife and mother of one, I am so blessed to have been able to raise our son as a stay-at-home Mom! Scrapbooking the traditional way (paper, ALL photos in chronological order, etc.) since I was in grade school, I started digital scrapbooking in my late 30's. But I found that I was missing the 3-D feel and look to my pages, as well as feeling overwhelmed by the AMOUNT of photos I was using. So, I started doing a hybrid of both, printing out 8x8 digital pages and putting those on 12x12 paper, and only scrapping what I treasured or what my son might treasure as an adult. I'm liking the results, AND I get to use my ever-increasing stash of STICKERS!!!!! I'm curious to start designing my own digital graphics, but not sure how to go about it. I know the tutorials here will help me greatly, once I get up the nerve to start!

  20. Hello! My name is Federica and i'm nineteen years old. I'm italian, I love creating things and spread love.

  21. I am a wife, mother and grandmother, a fiber artist as well as a scrapper, and I have a great passion for lace.

I am a traditional scrapper at heart, loving to work with the physical products whether making full size layouts, or pocket scrapping.
I have been exploring the digital side of scrapping more since I've been playing here, but I know I will never give up the other. I often work hybrid projects by printing out items from digital files and incorporating them into my physical layouts.

I am so thrilled with the community here, and the beautiful kits the talented designers make available on this site.

  22. I'm a 40 something female returning to digital scrapbooking after a break of a few years. I live in Cornwall, UK and enjoy photography, genealogy and triathlons.

  23. I used to scrap with paper, then I discovered digi-scrapping and have never looked back. I had about 5 years off, during a very busy time in my life, and now am back into it with gusto. I am totally addicted again!

  24. I'm not really a "traditional" scrapper - I am currently only scrapping my family history, all 1200 years of it! Images of distant ancestors are hard to come by, so when I can't find usable images (be it a photo of a modern statue, a contemporary painting of the subject or even a tapestry), then I try to use ephemeral images - coins, maps, pictures of Viking swords, etc. My aim is to turn my 50 page family history essay (written in 2012) into a visual book which combines genealogy with history because as I found out while writing my essay, the two are inexplicably linked - you can't understand a persons life story without understanding the battles they fought, the politics of the time and even the geography of 11th century Europe.

  25. I am a retired RN. I grew up in a small town in Lancaster County, PA, but for the past 20 years have lived in Northeast Ohio. My hobbies are digital scrapping, photography and reading mysteries.

  26. SAHM crazy for color and creating!!

  27. I love digital scrapbooking, particularly pocket pages!
