About Me
I am a retired high school teacher. I like to sew clothes and quilts and all those little things patchworkers like to make. I started scrapbooking 30 years ago with a project book, some glue and a pen. I still have those old books. I tried modern hardcopy scrapbooking but it is just too difficult to print out and stick in photos and all those silly bits. I tried my hand at digital scrapbooking a few years ago but now I have the time to play more and I have thousands of photos that need noticing. I think lots of photos nicely set out on a page with some journaling is what I want to do with many of my photos and print some out. My profile picture is one of me Aug 2013 having a go at the glass saw. My husband and I have just got into kiln-fused glass. It is so much fun. I hope to learn a bit more about Photoshop but at present I do layouts in Fireworks or just in Pages. I spend a lot of time writing down my observations of birds and clouds and taking photos of my everyday activities. I sit outside and drink tea and soak up the sunshine and read or I sit inside and watch my favourite DVDs and play on the computer or knit. Now, of course I will spend more time downloading assets and templates and playing with layouts.
