About Me
Hello, I am back from China and had a wonderful time. Now I am ready to get scrapping all my pictures. I am back in Texas taking care of my granddaughter and loving every minute.
I am an American teacher living in China, teaching English at a wonderful elementary school. I am sorry but I can not get facebook or other social media sites as they are blocked by China. I have been scrapbooking for many years. I started by jumping in an creating my daughters wedding album manually and have over the years moved to digital. I like digital better.
Description
This will be a part of the NaHeYa 2014 photo book
The western New Year celebration is not big in China. They, of course, celebrate Chinese New Year which is February 18 this year. A little later than normal and much bigger.
The foreign teachers and admin staff visit the classrooms on New Years Day. The children will give their favorite teachers a piece of fruit or some candy. They have often prepared a song or poem to recite for us.
I normally don't like doing layouts like this but I have seen so many beautiful layouts using this technique I thought I would give it a try again.
I used a basic blue background with fireworks bursts around the edges to give it some sparkle.
I arranged the pictures and adding the journal tag.
The man in the top left photo is the owner and headmaster of the school.
