About Me
Hey there,
I'm Janet. I was born and raised in Minnesota. My favorite title is mommy to two of the smartest, most beautiful, spunky, sweet girls out there. When I'm not taking care of the little peanuts, I run my photography and design businesses.
I stumbled across DigitalScrapbook.com early on when it was first started (before it became the site that it is today). Ironically, I ended up messaging Marisa to see if I could help contribute. I wanted to find a way to give back. Little did I realize that years later I would end up being fortunate enough to join this fab team! :)

~~Sophia's Story~~
Sophia, my youngest, was born this past February after a long battle to keep her in utero as long as possible. I dealt with a subchorionic hemorrhage (bleeding during pregnancy) from weeks 9-20. My water broke at 22 weeks and I wasn't admitted into the hospital until she was considered viable at two days shy of 24 weeks. With much care and help from the doctors, nurses, my family, and supportive friends I was able to hold off delivery until 28 +4 weeks. Our little peanut weighed in at 2 pounds 7 ounces and battled for life for quite a while before things mellowed out. She ended up staying a couple of days shy of 60 days in the NICU before she was able to join our family at home. Now she's a healthy, sweet, little 9 month old who weighs in at 17 pounds 2 ounces and is completely on track for her gestational age.

Very nice layout...wonderful story!
love the frame
Wow ladies, so many kind comments! Each of them are very much appreciated. We're very fortunate that Sophia continues to do well. At the beginning of February she'll celebrate her first birthday (seriously don't know where the time has gone)! Never in a million years did anyone think that she would be doing as well as she is...we're just so fortunate!
@Melouise, yes it was a ride with both of them. We're very thankful that we have both of our girls and that our family of four is complete.
@Kris, so glad to hear that your daughter is doing well. Amazing how they can bounce back from a rough start!
@Cipriana, yes unfortunately since having Sophia I hear of many preemies (not something most people really note unless they have a loved one who has gone through it). We're also very thankful for modern medicine. If it weren't for Sophia's doctors, nurses, and medical staff there's no way she would have made it through the first day of her life...let alone the NICU stay. We will forever be grateful for all that they did to help our baby girl get where she is today!
What a little miracle. I am so glad everything turned out okay after the very difficult time leading up to her birth. Beautiful girl and beautiful layout. Love the paper and frame too.
Another beautiful picture. And what a story, you have had quite a ride with both children. I am so happy to hear (and see!) that they have both turned into healthy and happy children. Looking forward to seeing more LO's with these pretty ones!
Absolutely beautiful baby and page! Love that the page is quite simple. allowing the focus to be HER! I delivered my youngest 6 1/2 weeks preemie and she weighed just over 4 lbs and stayed in NICU for one month. She caught up quickly and is now 12 years old--- healthy as can be! Thanks for sharing your story. Cherish every day you have with her--they grow way too fast!! :)
What a beautiful baby, and an amazing story!!!
What a great story. And a beautiful layout to go along.
God bless you. I hear a lot of stories like yours...they're pretty common (unfortunately) in the twin/multiples world.
I am thankful everyday for modern medicine.
Beautiful story, beautiful baby, beautiful layout.
Beautiful layout, beautiful baby. Look at that smile!
Thanks so much ladies. It was a fun one to create. I tried to find paint splats to use for it but didn't have any luck. So, I ended up making my own and turning them into .pngs so that I can do a similar layout for her sister Annelyse. :)
Beautiful :)
beautifully done. love the simplicity.
