Elements 11 update ...

Did anybody else get a complete reset of their Elements 11 the other day? ... I opened mine up and all my preferences had disappeared and I had to reset everything again ... it did need fixing because opening it seemed to stick for ages when opening from the last update ... I was working with type and it was in caps as well ... so had to search out how to correct because I couldn't remember from the last time they did that....

AND of course I had created some patterns and hadn't saved ... they usually stay there until I've got a few to save in the same file ... thank goodness I had made transparent overlays of them all ... why can't they warn us first ??????

My elements 13 did this to me a couple of days ago... It's happened two or three times now where it resets itself and I have to go in and redo my preferences. I can't figure out why it does this?!

Photoshop does this also. It usually happens after an update. Sometimes updates run in the background without actually knowing. It also could be a Window's update and it restarts your computer while PSE or Photoshop is open. Than when you go back to the program it resets to default.

It's happened to me before too but never to this extent .... I've never lost anything because of a reset before ... I always turn my computer off and don't leave it on when I'm not using it so it wasn't a windows update although I did get several of those the other day as well. They must have still been playing with it because when I went to use it again today the type setting was all in caps again and in order to reset all tools I had to go to another tool because it was greyed out and unavailable in type ... not sure what they are doing but it sure is annoying smiley

Yesterday when I went to print I had only had the one page I wanted to print and then today it was back to showing all pages loaded into the PSE and it was set to the smaller page range instead of the office size ... thank goodness I always check first smiley
